WiKIDly Awesome Travels is reviewed in the 2015 November/December issue of the American magazine. Here's the review (go to p56):
You have kids. You bring them over the sea to Europe and drag them round all that history, all that geography, all that architecture ...they love it as much as you do, right? Well maybe not all of them, all of the time. McPhee and Lifson have lived the problem - between them they have globetrotted to 35 countries - and come up with a solution. Fun activity books for kids visiting London and Paris (more to follow?) that include all the major tourist destinations, ‘I-Spy’ questions, cleverly hidden advice (“Memorize the name of the hotel and street where you are staying”) and Funky Facts. The Paris book has placenames and phrases in French and simple phonetics to help find their way around and maybe pick up some of the language. It’s just won a Family Choice Award in the States, and there’s a new London edition out too. |
